GCSE Results 2026Thu, 20 Aug 2026Year 11 students at Sandwell Academy have once again celebrated some fantastic results in their GCSE and BTEC qualifications. Outstanding outcomes include 19% of grades at 9-7 or Distinction*/Distinction, and 36% at grade 9-6 or Distinction*-Merit. There have been some fantastic individual outcomes for students, with a number of them achieving straight grades 8 and 9. James Saunders, Headteacher said, “we are extremely proud of the fantastic achievements of this really talented cohort. They showed a tremendous will to succeed and a diligent approach to their studies. The work of the staff in supporting our young people cannot be underestimated, so today's success must be credited to the teamwork that is displayed every day at Sandwell. Today is a day for celebration, and I would like to encourage our young people and their families to take this opportunity to enjoy their achievements."
