Parents/Carers will be notified of the outcome of their child’s application to Secondary School on Monday 1 March 2021. Parents/Carers will receive notification from the Local Authority and Sandwell Academy, providing Sandwell Academy has been named as a preference on the online application form, informing you whether or not your child has been offered a place at Sandwell Academy.
Due to COVID-19, notifications from Sandwell Academy will be emailed, throughout the day, on Monday 1 March 2021. Please do not contact the Academy before you have received your email.
Should your child be offered a place at Sandwell Academy, further details will be sent to you by email. Please be aware that you must respond by Friday 19 March 2021.
Should your child not be offered a place at Sandwell Academy, further details about the Academy’s waiting list and appeals procedure will be sent to you by email. Please be aware that you must respond by Friday 19 March 2021 if you would like your child to join the waiting list. Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Sandwell Academy you must lodge your appeal by Monday 29 March 2021. Further details and a link to the Sandwell Academy Waiting List Form and Appeals Form will be sent by email on Monday 1 March 2021.

Any enquiries about distance measurements, banding, the waiting list or appeals must be made in writing. Please include your child’s full name, date of birth and address when making these enquiries. We will receive a very high number of enquiries at this time and will aim to answer all enquiries within five working days. During this time, please do not re-send email enquiries. If you do not receive a reply within five working days please call the Academy Reception.
