SEND Information for Parents

At Sandwell Academy, we ensure that all students, including those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND), are fully supported to access all aspects of Academy life. We believe in every child reaching his/her potential through a broad and balanced curriculum, with the majority of students’ needs being met in the classroom through high quality teaching. We do however, recognise that some students require additional support to do this and staff are expected to make reasonable adjustments to their teaching through adaptive practices, to ensure the needs of all SEND students are met.

This document outlines key processes within our SEND provision, along with an overview of our offer. A child-friendly version of the information report can be found on the Student SEND webpage, which can be accessed here.

‘Any queries or concerns related to SEN matters or additional support should be referred to our SEN team in the first instance: sen@sandwellacademy.com
