Sandwell Academy Celebrates First GCSE Results!

73% of students gain 5 or more A* - C grades at GCSE including English and Maths

Sandwell Academy, which opened in September 2006, is celebrating its first set of GCSE outcomes as the first cohort of students complete Year 11 this summer.

The brand new, all ability academy achieved a record – breaking 73% of students gaining 5 or more A* - C grades at GCSE including English and Maths.  99% of students achieved 5 or more A* - C GCSE grades at the Academy which specialises in Sports and Business Enterprise.

Students who applied to the Academy before it was even built have justified their leap of faith and succeeded in achieving ambitious and challenging targets.
