The journey to the Costa Brava (Spain) will last approximately 24 hours.  The journey starts at the Academy and will travel to Dover ready for an evening ferry.  Crossing over to Calais, the trip then continues through France and will arrive in Spain early the following day.  Sandwell Academy will be based in central Lloret De Mar along with a cluster of other schools.  The Sports Tour Representatives will be based close to the hotel and on hand 24hrs a day whilst on location.  All teams will require travelling to their playing venues (up to 1 hour).  These trips will be organised through the tour operator and local travel companies.

Football will be played on the '3-G' fields which are in walking distance from the hotels in Lloret de Mar where a premiership club will lead in the coaching sessions prior to the tournament. Netball will be indoor and played close to Lloret de Mar with National coaches. Finally hockey will be played at the Pau Negre venue which is behind the Olympic Stadium. Coaching session will be led by senior international players prior to the tournment against UK and Spanish based teams.

During the tour we have 2 trips planned.  On the Wednesday, we will be travelling into Barcelona and visiting the ‘Nou Camp’ (F.C. Barcelona stadium).  On the same day, following the stadium tour we are planning a sightseeing trip around Barcelona which will include ‘Las Ramblas.’  The Thursday will involve an equally superb opportunity as we will spend a number of hours in the ‘WaterWorld’ aqua park.  These trips will be included in the price of the tour.
