I am Creative project

On 14th June, a group of students in Year 10 GCSE Business competed in the finals of ‘I am Creative project’ to find the next budding advertising executive. The ‘I am Creative project’ is a pioneering creative education program which aims to teach 13-19 year olds about the creative industries and then gives them an opportunity to have a go at answering a live creative brief from a global company. This creative brief was launched earlier in 2017 and completed during lesson time, the students had to encourage young people to save their money with Lloyds bank and create an advert to be used by Adam&EveDDB advertising agency.

The finalists were invited to Adam&EveDDB headquarters in London and presented their ideas to an esteemed panel of judges, from Lloyds, Ideas Foundation and Adam&EveDDB. After engaging and thought-provoking pitches by the boys; Liam Osmani, Curtis Shaw and Callum Brownhill and the girls; Jodie Rhoden, Olivia Newell and Caitlin Perkins, the students had a nervous wait while the judges deliberated the result.

The girls were voted runners up, a great success for students so young. After the result, the groups were given a tour of Adam&EveDDB HQ and were left with a plethora of opportunities after being invited to join ‘The Ladder’, a place where they can search for work experience in the creative industries. A fantastic day and the students showed excellent behaviour and mature attitudes to all involved. Well done for all your hard work and effort over the past few months. Can’t wait to see your creative potential flourish over the next few years.
