In August we received our second set of A-Level results and these were even more impressive than last year’s results. Students achieved on average 829 QCA points against a local schools average of 542 points (2007) and against a national average of 721 points (2007). 25% of level 3 course outcomes were at Grade A and 75% at grades A-C - this is up on last year. Sandwell Academy achieved a post 16 value added score of 1045. This places us comfortably in the top 5% of schools nationally for progress.
Particular success was achieved in Art, Business Studies, Sport, Performing Arts and Media Studies. There was outstanding success for many individuals including Natalie Pickering who achieved 4 grade A’s (see picture). Also congratulations to Chris Smith who is our first student to go on to study Medicine Education.
