In Year 7

Careers Education and Guidance is very important in early years at school.
You will be introduced to Fast Tomato as part of Unit 7 English Literacy course. Which will include an introduction to the Careers Library, E-Clips and Careers Research skills.
As part of the Business curriculum you will have the opportunity to take part in a careers competition – To investigate a career that is of interest to you, to describe the skills and qualities necessary for that career. – To explore the changing sectors of industry and work.

You will have to make your subject choices for GCSE. It is important that you keep as broad a range of subjects as possible over and above the core subjects.
If you or your parents would like some help with these decisions then make an appointment to see Miss Caddick – Director of Careers or Visiting Careers Advisor Tracy Jones from Connexions Sandwell.
Real Game – as part of PSHE/Business curriculum the opportunity to play the Real Game which is a role play, experiential learning opportunity to find out about the world of work & financial capability.
Don’t forget to use Fast Tomato and E-clips.
